Dr. Jamie Posthumus is a graduate of the school of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. Dr. Posthumus completed her undergraduate at the University of California Davis and spent time doing research before attending veterinary school. While in Scotland she spent 4 years learning and traveling from country to country working on a variety of animals in different practices.
As a native of southern California she loved living in Scotland, however, she decided that California was home and after graduation returned to begin her veterinary career. Dr. Posthumus is highly interested in diagnostic imaging, including ultrasound and digital radiographs. Additionally she also loves the challenge of working with exotic pets as much as any patient that comes in. Upon her return to southern California Dr. Posthumus adopted a Chihuahua mix puppy from a local humane society. She is currently attempting to teach him some manners!
